Enjoy the famous golden pass line in his full beauty in a less touristic way. This fantastic tour is a combination of the well-known train ride and a bike tour in the heart of Switzerland.
We'll take the Lucerne-Interlaken express up to his highest point, the Brunig pass (1006m. a. s).
Along the cogwheel line we bike back along the turquoise lake of Lungern, the lake of Sarnen, the swan lake Wichel, until we finally reach lake Lucerne (437m. a. s). It's a beautiful journey on good trails, through great alpine scenery and traditional villages and offers fantastic views to the Bernese and Central Alps.
The activity level is moderate because it's mostly downhill, but you should have a experience on a bike as we ride downhill on gravel trails. For less experienced riders, we offer the shorter 3 lake tour, where we ride mostly on flat terrain.
In Lucerne we will rent mountain bikes and load them to the cogwheel train, which climbs up on the scenic golden pass line to the "Brünig Pass". A nice downhill on gravel roads, through beautiful alpine nature and a traditional Swiss village leds us to the turquoise lake of Lungern. We can stop at a nice alpine restaurant or have a picnic by a waterfall or at the lake. A second downhill brings us to lake Sarnen and along the lake to the village of Sarnen. Depending on our level of fitness we continue along the small lake Wichel to lake Lucerne. If we get tired, we have the option to bike to the next railway station and return to Lucerne by train.

A Recent Review of this tour
Family of 6 ranging 13, 20's to 56 all had the very best bike ride adventure ever! Thanks to Nicole for making this tour available. It is an adventure and the best way to see the beauty of Switzerland. We even had a picnic by a waterfall & later a very delicious lunch by one of the lakes we visited. Nicole made sure we were safe and adjusted our bike tour based on our ability. We rode our bikes to green fields, colorful flowers, mountains, lakes, fairytale houses. Wish we can return someday soon.
